Diesel Cars will have an Auxiliary Heater which is electrical and helps warm the interior quickly as diesels take a while to warm up. The Auxiliary heating relates to a webasto heater which use fuel from the fuel tank and runs before you get in the car. Its purpose is to warm the cabin and warm the engine. Thats my point.
1. Low coolant or air in the cooling system. Low coolant level or air in the cooling system can cause the heater to stop working properly in Octavia. If the cooling system is not full and bled properly, the water pump will not be able to push the coolant around the system efficiently. The heating system in Octavia uses hot coolant or antifreeze

I am just about to finish the Webasto aux heater retrofit. yesterday I did the fuel line, then ran the "fill fuel line" procedure and the hose is full up to the heater. tomorrow I will have a mechanic connect the coolant hoses, then top-up and bleed the circuit. that should be the end of the

If you push the volume control inwards the radio/media will switch off but stay on the same screen. One of my finds today thanks. It looks like I am going to have to wimp it and read the manual. You can mute it by pressing the volume thumbwheel on the steering wheel too.

I'd imagine the 'Remote Ventilation' works in a similar way, it simply turns on the interior fan and recirculates the internal and external air. It won't utilise the air conditioning as this requires the engine to be running. This feature is available from other manufacturers and opinion varies. once you have entered a destination in turns it self off on arrival. then press stop route, that normally does it for me. You can stop it from navigating you whilst enroute as long as you have the navigation in maxidot, turn the right click wheel and it will ask (on the maxidot) if you wish to cancel navigation.

The lowest sensitivity is with the switch fully to the left. Just to be clear - lowest sensitivity means you need more water on the screen to get a wipe. You will find that with the wipers on, if you increase sensitivity (ie move to the right) you get a wipe straight away.
